Magical Christmas

Curve and Charity Link are joining forces to create a magical experience for those in need this Christmas!

Urgent appeal!  Will you join other businesses and organisations in pledging support to make this fantastic event a reality?

We are very excited that this Christmas Curve theatre in Leicester will be opening the doors to its two Christmas productions on Saturday 15 December, exclusively for local people in hardship and crisis.

The idea for this special event was the brainchild of Rachel Hargrave, director of Leicestershire agency RDZ PR, a long-term supporter of Charity Link and Business Sponsor of the Curve;  1,200 seats have been reserved for clients of Charity Link and our network of supporting agencies.

Guests will enjoy a Curve Christmas production on the day, and will also receive a hot meal, show programme, drinks during the interval and an ice cream.

Local businesses and organisations are being asked to support the event, which we hope will leave a lasting legacy.

Susan McEniff, Director of Charity Link, says: “We are passionate about helping those most in need in our local communities, addressing immediate crisis and helping people move forward from hardship by providing essential items. We also believe that everyone should be able to fulfil their potential in life, no matter what crisis, illness, disability or difficulty they may be facing. Essential to this, as well as feeling part of the local community, is the opportunity to dream and be inspired, particularly for children and young people.  We are thrilled that the team at Curve are so supportive of this venture and we hope that local businesses will be moved to get involved too. This event really does have the potential to positively impact on the lives of those attending for the long-term.”

In a joint statement, Chris Stafford, Chief Executive and Nikolai Foster, Artistic Director says: “When we were approached with this fantastic idea we were instantly inspired as Curve is dedicated to ensuring that everyone who lives, works and learns in our city has access to great art. This year also see Curve celebrate its 10th birthday and on the day itself, charity volunteers and the full team at Curve will all be rolling up their sleeves to give 1,200 people a Christmas to remember. To make this happen, we also need the support of the business community to ensure this special day leaves a lasting legacy.”
