The Nicholson Memorial Fund makes grants to both individuals and projects in Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland.
Individuals – Grants can be made to households where there are children or young people who are deprived, neglected or in need of care. Applicants must live in Leicester, Leicestershire or Rutland to be eligible for assistance. Due to pressure on funds, help is only given once every two years unless there are exceptional circumstances. Applications should be made though Charity Link using their application Form.
Projects – The Fund can provide grants to charities and voluntary groups that operate in Leicester, Leicestershire or Rutland and that assist children or young people who are delinquent, deprived, neglected or in need of care. Applications should be made using the fund’s application form and include a copy of your most recent annual report and accounts. Applications should be forwarded to:

Grant making policy – Due to the large number of applications the fund receives and its limited resources the following restrictions on grant making have been agreed:
1. The Trustees are not able to help with capital expenditure for building work and renovations.
2. The Trustees are only able to help organisations which operate wholly or largely in Leicester, Leicestershire or Rutland.
