If you know a business who would like to support this popular event (taking place on 26th September) which, in turn, will help to ensure people in need are warm, safe and fed, please get in touch.
From being a key sponsor to helping to provide the popular doggie-goodie bags for our four-legged finishers, you can find out all the details at www.charity-link.org/leics3peaks
Today (14th April) the Leicester Mercury produced a feature on the There With You Fund, launched exactly a year ago to support people across Leicestershire finding themselves in hardship and directly impacted by the pandemic. Read the article here which includes a client, Shannon, sharing her story.

Did Captain Tom inspire you this time last year?
Have you heard, that today (6th April) a new fundraising drive for charities has been launched to help mark all that Captain Tom achieved?
All you have to do is think of your own ‘100 themed’ fundraising challenge or activity to raise funds between Friday 30 April and Monday 3 May.
There are no rules (apart from Government guidelines on the roadmap out of lockdown) and it’s open to everyone. Do it your way and have fun!
Bake 100 cakes, tell 100 jokes, do 100 laps of your own garden….
Get sponsored = support Charity Link = change the lives of those most in need due to Covid-19.
Or you could simply decide to donate 100 pennies or 100 pounds and make a real difference! We’d love to know what you have planned.
Remember £5 raised for Charity Link helps to provide £25 of essential items for those in need.
If you don’t know how this magic works, or you are planning to lend your support, we’d love to hear from you – email Rachel at firstname.lastname@example.org
You can use the special Virgin Money Donation site which contains more information here
– or simply raise funds and donate in any of the usual ways.
Remember we’d love to hear what you have planned and see photos or please do share your activities on social media and tag us too.

Last night’s 6pm ITV Central News (23rd March) was a special programme marking the year anniversary of lockdown and the impact of the pandemic.
The programme featured one of Charity Link’s clients, Shannon, who has been struggling to make ends meet since she lost her job at the start of the pandemic. Shannon is a single mum to her two children and also looks after her teenage brother. Shannon was keen to share her story to raise awareness of how tough it can be for low-income families and she wanted to highlight what a huge difference your support makes during times of need.
The film also included a short interview with Charity Link Director Susan McEniff talking about the impact of the pandemic on vulnerable families.

Huge thanks to everyone who supported the Charity Link Sleepover 2021, which took place on 29th January.
We had lots of young guests this year which was great to see. Whether you slept out in a tent in the garden for the night (we did see photos of tents with ice and snow on top!) or for those who camped out in dens under tables in the house – a massive thank you!
For every £25 you’ve raised Charity Link will be able to provide a bed for someone who doesn’t have this basic item which so many of us are lucky enough to take for granted. We’ll also provide essential items such as winter clothing, school uniforms, cookers, washing machines…your support really will help to improve the lives of so many people.
It was great to see photos of everyone in their Sleepover hats (kindly donated by Everything Community) and drinking their hot chocolate (kindly donated by Asda, Oadby store).
We’ll update on the final total raised by all our guests in the coming days, but so far we’ve reached over £1,500 which is amazing! (You can still donate to the team page below).
Next year – when hopefully things will be more back to normal – we hope to have our usual January Sleepover get together at our office courtyard in Leicester city centre. We’ll also be inviting you to take part again at home too: your sleepover, your way!
If you are interested in getting involved or are a local business interested in learning more about sponsorship opportunities, please get in touch. Email email@example.com

Until next year – thank you!!!!
With only a few days to go until the Charity Link Sleepover there is still time to take part. Full details at www.charity-link.org/sleepover
We are grateful to Jonathan Ashworth MP for Leicester South for his video in support of the event. View this on our You Tube Channel here.
Get involved, or if you would prefer to spend the night in your usual warm, comfy bed and donate instead we’d be so grateful for any support. It will really help us to get through the night.
Charity Link Official can turn £1 into £5 of essential items so it really is true that whatever you give will make a difference.
Donate here via the Charity Link team donation page
Thanks so much!
