Birthday Bash Raises Valuable Funds For Leicester Charity Link

The cream of Leicestershire’s business sector turned out in a bid to raise much-needed funds for Leicester Charity Link at a ‘children’s party’ themed bash at The City Rooms on Friday October 5.

More than £1900 was raised on the night, which was also a celebration for Leicestershire based brand, design and PR agency, The Phoenix Partners’ 10th year anniversary.

The money raised on the night will contribute towards a target of £10,000 as pledged by The Phoenix Partners to Leicester Charity Link, in its anniversary year.

Director of The Phoenix Partners, Rachel Hargrave, said: “We hope that the money raised will go towards making a positive difference to individuals and families in Leicestershire and Rutland. It’s fantastic to celebrate our birthday by helping to raise awareness of all the great work Leicester Charity Link does to help those most in need in our community.”

Guests were shown an emotional video, directed by local film-maker, George Horne, highlighting the plight of just a few of those helped by the Leicester charity.

Susie McEniff, fundraising and marketing director at Leicester Charity Link, said: “It is fantastic that The Phoenix Partners has chosen to mark their birthday by contributing to such a worthy cause. The money raised will go towards helping those most in need in our community.”

There were more than 120 attendees at the event, including the High Sheriff of Leicester, Leicester fashion designer, Aruna Bhagwan and Leicester Mercury’s ‘Rising Star’ Kiran Parmar.

The current total of the £10,000 raised is £ 8304.40. Fundraising is still taking place so if you would like to contribute please visit www.justgiving.com/ThePhoenixPartners .
