Captain Tom 100

Did Captain Tom inspire you this time last year?
To help mark all that Captain Tom achieved, the organisers of the London Marathon, with the support of Captain Tom’s family, have launched the Captain Tom 100 to help support charities during these difficult times.
All you have to do is think of your own ‘100 themed’ fundraising challenge or activity to raise funds between Friday 30 April and Monday 3 May.
There are no rules (apart from Government guidelines on the roadmap out of lockdown) and it’s open to everyone. Do it your way and have fun!
Bake 100 cakes, tell 100 jokes, do 100 laps of your own garden….
Organise a challenge amongst family, friends or colleagues….
Get sponsored = support Charity Link = change the lives of those most in need due to Covid-19.
Or you could simply decide to donate 100 pennies or 100 pounds and make a real difference! We’d love to know what you have planned.
Remember £5 raised for Charity Link helps to provide £25 of essential items for those in need.
If you don’t know how this magic works, or you are planning to lend your support, we’d love to hear from you – email Rachel at rachel.markham@charity-link.org
You can use the special Virgin Money Donation site which contains more information here – or simply raise funds and donate in any of the usual ways.
Remember we’d love to hear what you have planned and see photos or please do share your activities on social media and tag us too.
If you need some ideas – click for 100 on the Challenge PDF here.
Good luck!
