Abagail’s story

After such a tough time, your support has made a big difference in the quality of life of Abigail and her children.

Abigail is a single mum to two young children and the family struggle to make ends meet each month on a low income.

Life has been made even harder as they’ve recently had to throw many items out due to a bug infestation. These have now been eradicated but the family’s cooker and fridge had also stopped working and Abigail had no money to replace them. This was having a big impact on the meals Abigail could prepare for her children.

After such a tough time, we were delighted – thanks to your support – to be able to provide these basic essentials and play a small but vital part in helping the family to create a happy home.

"It’s fantastic to see all the ways the community comes together to improve the lives of people in need. From undertaking challenges, to dress-up days, quizzes, raffles and cake-bakes, to donating, setting up a regular gift, volunteering or spreading the word, it all helps to ensure people living in hardship are warm, safe and fed and have the basics in life that we all deserve."
