Ani’s story
Just one item, a washing machine, has made a massive difference to Ani and her son.

Ani lives with her young son in a council tenancy and was referred to us by her support worker in need of help.
Ani has been trying hard to make ends meet on her wages as a waitress and limited benefits, but recent rises in the cost of living means she has fallen into arrears on her rent.
With the pressure on her finances, when her washing machine broke there was no way Ani could afford to replace it. This was making life very difficult as she tried to make sure she had her staff uniform and son’s clothes clean but very little money or spare time to use the laundrette. This was causing Ani a huge amount of stress.
Thanks to your support we have been able to provide Ani with a washing machine – just one household essential but one that is making a huge difference to this family’s wellbeing. Thank you.
