Debbie’s story
Debbie was referred to us for help as with no money to buy the bed and washing machine she and her son needed, their quality of life was being severely impacted.

Debbie suffers with a number of health conditions, which make daily life and caring for her young child a real challenge.
Previously working as a cleaner, Debbie now receives her income through Universal Credit and Child Benefit as she is unable to work, but it is a real struggle to make ends meet, particularly as the cost of essentials, including food, heating and clothing, continue to rise.
Debbie was referred to us for support as, with a broken bed and washing machine, Debbie’s son had nowhere suitable to sleep and Debbie was finding it impossible to keep on top of the family’s laundry. However, with no spare money, Debbie had no way to pay for these essential items the family desperately needed.
Thanks to your support Charity Link has provided the family with both of these items to help reduce the stress of daily life and to improve their wellbeing going forward as they continue to juggle their income during these tough times. Thank you.
"It’s fantastic to see all the ways the community comes together to improve the lives of people in need. From undertaking challenges, to dress-up days, quizzes, raffles and cake-bakes, to donating, setting up a regular gift, volunteering or spreading the word, it all helps to ensure people living in hardship are warm, safe and fed and have the basics in life that we all deserve."
