Eda 2

Helping older people facing hardship

Eda was referred by a housing officer.  She is in her sixties and suffers from a number of health conditions, including arthritis, and she struggles with her mobility after a number of knee and hip operations. Due to these issues she has recently been rehomed in a property more suitable for her needs. She has gone through a tough time recently after a member of her family took out a loan in her name and she was left to pay off the debt from her minimal income. This meant she was unable to afford some of the basic essentials she needed for her new home. We were able to help to provide a fridge freezer, an essential item for her well-being. Thank you.

"It’s fantastic to see all the ways the community comes together to improve the lives of people in need. From undertaking challenges, to dress-up days, quizzes, raffles and cake-bakes, to donating, setting up a regular gift, volunteering or spreading the word, it all helps to ensure people living in hardship are warm, safe and fed and have the basics in life that we all deserve."
