Freya’s story

Freya and her three children had fled domestic violence but her partner tracked the family down and destroyed many of their belongings

Freya

Freya and her children had been through a really tough time

Freya and her three children fled an abusive relationship and moved to another property. Unfortunately, her partner located them and visited the property, destroying a lot of their household items.

With support, they have moved to a safer location but had few household items left to take with them and no funds to be able to buy all the essential items they needed to set up a new home. We’ve been able to provide Freya and her children with a fridge freezer and a washing machine – vital items to help them settle into their new home as they continue to be supported to rebuild a happy and safe future.

"It’s fantastic to see all the ways the community comes together to improve the lives of people in need. From undertaking challenges, to dress-up days, quizzes, raffles and cake-bakes, to donating, setting up a regular gift, volunteering or spreading the word, it all helps to ensure people living in hardship are warm, safe and fed and have the basics in life that we all deserve."
