Ian’s story
Ian is facing tough challenges and financial hardship was impacting significantly on his physical and mental wellbeing.
Ian suffers from a number of mental health conditions. He has also been diagnosed with stage 4 cancer and is undergoing chemotherapy. His situation has been made even harder due to financial challenges.
Relying on Universal Credit payments, when his fridge freezer broke some time ago Ian had no money to replace this essential item. He was struggling to get by but being unable to store fresh food and prepare healthy meals had a significant impact. He was restricted on what he could buy and when, ready meals were expensive and often unhealthy, and living without this essential item was leading to further stress.
Ian was referred to us by another charity and, thanks to your support, we have now been able to provide Ian with a fridge freezer. This means he is able to eat healthy meals again to support his physical and mental wellbeing during such a tough time as he continues his treatment. Thank you.
