Jayda’s story
Jayda is heavily pregnant and recently escaped a domestic violent relationship with her daughter. Without the money to buy a bed, Jayda was sleeping on the floor and in desperate need of our support.
Jayda has recently escaped a violent relationship with her young daughter, who has special needs. Jayda suffers from anxiety, depression and PTSD, and financial worries have been adding to her many challenges.
Jayda and her daughter have been provided with accommodation but it was unfurnished. Jayda tried to source as many essential household items as possible but without the money to buy a bed, she was sleeping on the floor. This was having a significant impact on her health and self-esteem as she is pregnant with her second child.
Jayda was referred to us by her social worker and we been able to provide Jayda with the bed she urgently required as she is helped to move forward to a happier and safer future with her children.
