Mag’s story

Mag is a single mother who left her homeland for safety issues and has been granted Indefinite Leave to Remain in the UK with her young daughter.
Mag is receiving support to help her overcome previous traumas and hopes to be able to work in the future and as her daughter grows.
Whilst trying to manage on the limited benefits she currently receives, Mag had no way to afford a washing machine of her own. She was travelling to the laundrette every few days and carrying a wet load of washing back to dry at home to save money. This was causing emotional and physical distress and the British Red Cross referred Mag to us for help.
We’ve now been able to provide a washing machine to help Mag and her daughter as they build a brighter future together.
