Monnie lives alone in a council tenancy. She juggles her state pension as best she can to make ends meet, but as prices of essentials continue to rise, this is getting harder and harder.
She tries to be as independent as possible and has relied on bulk cooking to help manage her money. Recently her fridge freezer stopped working, and this meant she had to buy little and often. This proved expensive and was also hard for her physically as she had to keep going out to buy food. Monnie didn’t have the money to buy a replacement fridge freezer but was worried about how she was going to continue to live this way without getting into debt.
Thanks to your support we’ve now been able to provide Monnie with a fridge freezer to help her get by go back to cooking cost-effective, healthy meals and store her medicines correctly.
