Zoe’s story
Teenager Zoe lived with her grandma but when she sadly passed away Zoe’s world was turned upside down…

Teenager Zoe lived with her grandma, becoming her full-time carer before she sadly passed away recently.
This turned Zoe’s world upside down. Not only was she grieving, she also had to find somewhere new to live and faced hardship as her grandma had helped her out financially in the past.
Zoe was provided with new council accommodation and she was also excited to start a new apprenticeship in childcare which gave her a positive focus for the future. However, Zoe found it extremely tough to make ends meet on her limited income. She desperately needed some new clothes after being informed that some of her clothing wasn’t suitable for work. This meant she was washing a few items every day as she had no money to expand her wardrobe and it was causing her a lot of stress.
Thanks to your support we’ve been able to provide Zoe with £120 of clothing vouchers to ensure she is able to maintain her apprenticeship and is not held back due to her circumstances. Thank you so much.
"It’s fantastic to see all the ways the community comes together to improve the lives of people in need. From undertaking challenges, to dress-up days, quizzes, raffles and cake-bakes, to donating, setting up a regular gift, volunteering or spreading the word, it all helps to ensure people living in hardship are warm, safe and fed and have the basics in life that we all deserve."
