Charity Link Director nominated for national award
Congratulations to Susan McEniff, Director of Marketing and Fundraising at Charity Link who has been shortlisted for a national Women in Business Award in the ‘Rising Star’ category for the Midlands area.
The awards, which this year attracted the highest number of entries ever received, are run by Forward Ladies, an organisation which supports women in their professional lives and celebrates and champions the role of women in the workplace.
As a finalist Susan has been invited to the regional award ceremony in Birmingham on 28th September. Regional winners will then be invited to appear before a live judging interview panel before the national final in Leeds on 1st December.
Susan says: “I am humbled to be shortlisted for such a prestigious award and I would like to thank Rachel Hargrave of RDZ PR for her nomination.
Having previously worked as a marketer in the commercial sector, I was keen to make a positive contribution to the community when I joined Charity Link as Fundraising Manager eight years ago. Since having the opportunity to take on a Directorship I have been committed to driving the charity forward in a wider regard at what is such a time of change and challenge for the voluntary sector. I am constantly enthused by the dedicated team around me, including inspiring volunteers, and to be recognised for a role I am so passionate about is wonderful.”
Judges for the awards include Debra White, Regional Director of Small Businesses for HSBC, Ajaz Ahmed, the founder of Freeserve, Helen Samuels from United Utilities and Saha Hashemi, founder of Coffee Republic.
Award finalists and winners will be offered support from some of the most influential names in business, including HSBC, Microsoft and IoD.
Good luck Susan!
