Congratulations to Sue on completing the Leicester Half!
Congratulations to Charity Link Director, Susan McEniff, who completed the Leicester Half Marathon yesterday in just under 2 hours 30 minutes.
Sue joined 3,000 other runners, many of whom were raising vital funds for local charities.
Sues says:
“I was very emotional at the start but I soon started chatting to other runners which really helped settle my nerves. I met some lovely people along the route, particularly another Sue who, like me, had only ever ran nine miles before. We helped get each other round the last four miles and I was so thrilled to run the whole distance. Of course knowing I was being sponsored to help provide essential items to local vulnerable people was a huge driving force for me – and boy did I need it!
It was one of hardest challenges I’ve taken on but I’m already planning to take part again next year – and it would be great to have a team of runners joining me to support Charity Link!
