Charity Link Sleepover
November 10, 2023
Go without a bed for one night to help to buy a bed!
Can you go without a warm, comfy bed for one night in order to help people in hardship and crisis across Leicestershire, Rutland and Northamptonshire?
Due to Charity Link’s unique way of working, just £35 help’s to buy a bed for someone who doesn’t have a bed of their own.
This year we are so excited to be holding our unique annual sleepover at Stoughton Grange Farm Park, with the support of Steamin’ Billy. Keep reading for more details!
Coming 10th November… Go without a bed to help buy a bed!
For this year’s sleepover, and with the support of Steamin’ Billy, we are really excited to be hosting our annual fundraising event in the fabulous setting of Stoughton Grange Farm Park!
This will be a unique experience, sleeping out (but undercover) on Friday 10th November – going without your usual warm, comfy bed for a night to help vulnerable people who don’t have a bed of their own.
You just need warm clothing, a sleeping bag and a bit of grit and determination – no training required for this challenge!
Whilst the animals may be close by (and you may be woken by a friendly bleat or grunt!), don’t worry, you won’t get nuzzled in the night!
Registration is £35 – which due to Charity Link’s unique way of working is enough to provide a bed for a person in need who doesn’t have this essential item.
There is then a fundraising target of £70 – two more beds to change two more local lives. But, the more you raise, the more beds you will help to provide.
You can raise the funds by asking people to sponsor you, you could run a sweepstake on how much sleep you get, you could do other fundraising activities, such as a raffle or cake sale at work… seven people sponsoring you a tenner and you’ve hit your target and together helped local people in desperate need.
The event is open to anyone keen to make a difference (non-snorers preferred but not essential!). Young people aged 14 years+ on the day of the event are very welcome to attend with a parent/carer).
Provisional timings are arrival 7pm – 8pm on Friday 10th – 8am on Saturday 11th November.
This is a special event which makes a lasting impression, so why not join us to do something amazing to help local people in need?
Places are limited and registrations open soon but in the meantime register your interest by emailing Rachel at email@example.com
