VISIT TO KELMARSH HALL – Tuesday 18th June
“As part of my fund raising efforts on behalf of Charity Link, I have arranged an evening tour of the beautiful gardens at Kelmarsh Hall, near to Market Harborough on Tuesday 18th June 2019. On a sunny summer’s evening it is a pleasure to have a guided tour and walk amongst the rose gardens at Kelmarsh. Guests are invited to be there from 6.00 pm ready for the tour at 6.15 pm.The guided walk takes approximately 55 minutes and includes the ornamental gardens. It also covers an introduction to the owners of the hall and gardens and looks over the planting and design of each area of the gardens, as well as how the gardens are cared for today. After the tour, guests are welcome to enjoy the gardens until they close at 9pm. We will provide a light summer picnic all washed down with a glass of Prosecco…The price of the guided tour, along with the picnic, will be £20.00 per person. Numbers to the tour are strictly limited , I would therefore be grateful if you could let me know by 17th May whether you are interested in joining what promises to be a most enjoyable evening. If you have any queries please just contact me” Colin Derrrick – call 07711 054622 . Click here to find out more about Kelmarsh Hall.
Activity so far…
- In March guests visited The Little Theatre in Leicester for a production of Goodnight Mr Tom to help raise funds and got to find out about ‘Leicester’s Greatest Show-woman’ – the elusive Mrs Austin for a night of mystery and opera, with Professor Patrick Boylan and Nicky Bingham (Soprano) – a night which raised over £1,000!
- We had a fantastic time at St. Mary Magdalen Church in Knighton on Weds 12th December for a fundraising evening of Christmas music and carols with the Leicester Salvation Army Band. Thank you to the many people who supported this event.
- Colin and the ‘Rotary Roamers’ took part in Charity Link’s Leicestershire 3 Peaks Challenge (a 16 mile walk taking in Beacon Hill, Bardon Hill and Old John in Bradgate Park) in September to raise funds.
- Colin has been busy spreading the word of Charity Link and why he is giving the charity his support by visiting other Rotary Clubs and other organisations to give presentations
