There are runs and races of various distances across the UK which you can enter to help raise funds to support local people in crisis and hardship.
You simply apply for your own place in these events and if successful in let us know that you are running as part of ‘Team Charity Link’ and we can provide fundraising support and resources.
Join us for the Vitality 10,000 in London on 25th May 2020
We’ve got guaranteed places in the popular Vitality London 10,000 run on Monday 25th May 2020 (Bank Holiday weekend). Starting at St James’s Park and The Mall the route passes popular many of London’s famous sights including Admiralty Arch, Nelson’s Column, St Paul’s Cathedral, Mansion House, the Bank of England, the Old Bailey, Somerset House, Big Ben, the Houses of Parliament and Westminster Abbey before finishing opposite Buckingham Palace. Join team Charity Link for this special event – particularly if can’t get a place or are not quite up to running the full London Marathon but want to experience a similar atmosphere. There is just a £10 registration fee and we then ask you to pledge to raise £60+ via sponsorship or fundraising. We’ll also supply a running vest or t-shirt and can give you lots of encouragement and support!*

The Leicestershire Half Marathon takes place in February at the lovely location of Prestold Hall. We’d love you to join team Charity Link.
Leicester’s Big 10K – This race around Abbey Park and in 2020 takes place on Sunday 19th April and you can register now. For details visit the organisers website.
The Leicester Marathon (or half marathon) – this event takes place each October and is a run with a great atmosphere and pleasant course suitable for those attempting a distance run for the first time or keen runners.
Join team Charity Link for the 2019 event which takes place on Sunday 6th October. Registration is now open on the organiser’s website at Leicester Marathon.
Run to raise funds for Charity Link and we will provide t-shirt / vest and lots of support before and on the day and if you raise £200 or more we will refund your entry fee.

The London Marathon
The event which many feel is the ‘ultimate’ running event in the UK. Why not enter the ballot to see if you are ‘lucky’ enough to get a place! The race takes place in April and the ballot for the next year’s race opens shortly afterwards. Visit www.virginmoneylondonmarathon.com
The London Marathon 2020 takes place on Sunday 26th April.
The general ballot for places opens for a week shortly after the race. If you applied for a place in the 2020 race and are lucky enough to get a place, we’d love you to run as part of Team Charity Link. We can offer t-shirt, running vest etc. and lots of support!

The Great North Run – the biggest half marathon event in the UK is a fun event which takes place in Newcastle each September. Enter the ballot for places at http://www.greatrun.org
Northampton Half Marathon – taking place in September this race begins in the city centre – www.northamptonhalfmarathon.co.uk Run for Charity Link and raise £200 for us and we will refund the cost of your place. Get in touch for details.
