Get on your bike!
Due to Covid-19 the huge charity bike ride which takes place in London each year isn’t possible, so this year the organisers have decided to run this year’s RideLondon cycling festival as a virtual event – making it even easier for you to take part and raise funds for Charity Link!
RideLondon 2020 was due to take place on 15 and 16 August so instead the virtual event will take place over this weekend. It encourages riders to take part in events from 1km to 100 miles.
There is also a free cycle event that allows you to set your own challenge on the wheels of your choice, including skateboards, rollerskates, wheelchairs or anything that is self-propelled.
The theme of the event is:
My Distance
My Charity
My Way!
Simply pick the distance you want to challenge yourself to complete:
Nineteen (cycle only)
Forty Six (cycle only)
100 (cycle only)
Freecycle (riders set their own distance of 1km or more and can take part on any self-propelled wheels – bikes, scooters, skateboards… This is great for kids)
and register on the organisers website, it is free!
Let then let us know that you are taking part for Charity Link. Along with the certificate you can claim from RideLondon, we will also provide you with a special medal to thank you for taking part to raise funds to help provide essential items for people in need in Leicester, Leicestershire, Rutland and Northamptonshire.
