John Lewis Leicester helps homeless set up new homes
John Lewis Leicester has donated home starter packs which will be distributed directly by Leicester Charity Link to vulnerable people moving from hostel accommodation to a new home of their own. The starter packs, worth £44 each contain basic items such as bedding, towels, toaster, kettle and kitchen utensils.
Susan McEniff, Director of Marketing and Fundraising at Leicester Charity Link, said “Many of our clients who have been living in hostel accommodation and are now moving to a home of their own, literally have nothing, no belongings, household goods or the means to go and buy the items needed. The John Lewis starter packs contain basic things that we all need and will help those who have been homeless set up a new home of their own. We would like to thank John Lewis Leicester for their support and we are looking forward to working together to make a real difference in our community.”
Chaz Kotecha, Marketing and Community Liaison co-ordinator at John Lewis Leicester said, “John Lewis Leicester are always keen to help out with community projects in any way we can. We are proud to support Leicester Charity Link with the starter packs and hope the packs can really make a difference.”
