Skipton Building Society Award
We were delighted to hear in December that we’d been selected for one of 40 £1,000 grants, distributed by Skipton Building Society as part of their new Community Giving Campaign.
The campaign invited brokers and employees of intermediary firms to nominate a housing or homelessness cause, which they actively support, to receive one of 40 £1000 donations.
Thanks to Rajesh Modha from Finance Lab for nominating us for an award, which will help to provide essential items to those in need, including those who are trying to create a home after a period of homelessness.
Susan McEniff, Director of Charity Link, says of the award:
“Charity Link believes that everyone deserves to be warm, safe and fed and by working in a unique way (untapping funds from charitable trusts across the UK) we can turn every £10 donation into £50 of essential items for people in need across Leicester, Leicestershire, Rutland and Northamptonshire.
This means that the donation will actually provide £5,000 worth of vital support, such as beds, cookers and washing machines, which will ensure that many vulnerable people are looking forward to a much brighter 2020!
On behalf of the whole team at Charity Link and the clients that are being helped as a result of this kind donation, a huge thank you to Skipton Building Society and to Rajesh Modha of Finance Lab who kindly nominated us for support.”
