150th Birthday Ball

It was our first-ever Ball in our 150-year history on Friday 5th June, and we loved it!!

THANK YOU SO MUCH to everyone who supported this special event. We had a room full of wonderful people coming together to mark this massive milestone in our charity’s history.

We hope our guests enjoyed the event (feedback has suggested this is the case!).

The evening helped raise over £8,000, which will make such a difference to our work in these challenging economic times.

But the focus of the Ball wasn’t just about raising vital funds, it was about bringing the staff team, trustees, partners, patrons, supporters and the wider community together to recognise the difference that Charity Link has made locally since 1876 and the difference we continue to make together.

Guests heard heartfelt talks from our Chair George Oliver, CEO Sue and Patron Lord-Lieutenant of Leicestershire Michael Kapur OBE CStJ, enjoyed a three-course meal thanks to the team at Devonshire Place, took part in heads and tails, an auction (thanks to Peter, ex-auctioneer at Readings Property Group), raffle and then had plenty of time to parrrtttyyy!
