Christmas donation by MyNextMattress

12th December 2025

A massive thank you to MyNextMattress for donating 24 mattresses this Christmas in support of our work.

The Charity Link casework team are now allocating them to local people in financial hardship who are currently living without a suitable mattress, and the team at our Social Enterprise, The Good Depot, will soon be delivering them to Charity Link clients.

Simon Johnson, from MyNextMattress, says: “MyNextMattress is proud to support Charity Link’s amazing work helping local people facing hardship. A good night’s sleep is essential, not a luxury. By donating mattresses, we hope to offer comfort, dignity and a fresh start to individuals and families across Leicestershire, Rutland and Northamptonshire.”

Matthew Shaw, Trading Manager at The Goods Depot, says: “We would like to express our heartfelt thanks to MyNextMattress for their recent donation of 24 Emma mattresses, which will make a tremendous difference to Charity Link clients this Christmas. These mattresses will ensure that people in need have a safe and comfortable place to sleep, something so many of us take for granted. This generosity directly supports our mission to help individuals and families in desperate need access the essential items everyone deserves for a decent standard of living. Thank you for making a real and meaningful impact in our community.”

(Charity Link launched its social enterprise, The Goods Depot in 2019 – thanks to a grant by The Big Lottery – to offer a high-quality reuse and new white goods service to Charity Link clients and, through sales to the wider community, create a sustainable long-term income stream for the charity. The Good Depot now also supplies beds and mattresses. Find out more about The Goods Depot at www.thegoodsdepot.org.uk ).
