Team members celebrating 65 years of service!
Two members Charity Link are celebrating 65 years of dedicated service between them.
This month our Deputy CEO Jim Munton marks 35 years of service and in June Linda Gibson, Administration Assistant, marks 30 years with the charity.
Jim gained an Information Technology diploma at Leicester Polytechnic before joining the charity in 1988 to develop the charity’s systems. Linda joined the team in 1993 as a temporary member of the office team – and both never left!
Jim says: “There have been a huge number of changes over the years, at the charity, in the voluntary sector and in the wider community, so there have always been new challenges. I’ve had the pleasure of working with many dedicated and inspiring individuals during my time at Charity Link and it really does feel like a family. I am very proud to have been part of the charity’s development over the past 35 years.”
Linda, who is retiring in June, adds: “I started working on a typewriter so my role has changed quite a bit! Although I am ready to retire, it is going to be a huge change after so many wonderful years at Charity Link. My job has been very rewarding and I will miss the people I work with and speaking to clients and referrers on a daily basis.”
Charity Link’s CEO Susan McEniff, adds: “Jim and Linda have helped to support many thousands of local people in need over the years and they deserve a massive ‘thank you’ for their hard work and dedication. We’ll miss Linda greatly when she retires but after 30 years she deserves to put her feet up and we’ll send her off in style and keep in touch. We are delighted that Jim is staying with us for a bit longer!”.
Thanks and congratulations to both Jim and Linda!
