Ruth’s story
Ruth has health challenges which mean she can’t work. The cost of living crisis has meant that caring for herself and her son has become even harder…
Ruth suffers from severe fibromyalgia, which limits her mobility. She lives with her son in a house left in a trust to her by her parents.
Unable to work, she is struggling to make ends during the cost of living crisis due to the rising cost of essentials. She has recently sold her computer to pay for necessities, an item which had helped her keep in touch with the outside world.
When her bed broke recently, there was no way she could afford a new one and she was struggling without.
We’ve been able to step in and provide a new bed so that Ruth can get the rest she needs to continue to care for her son whilst overcoming many challenges.
