Samiya’s story

Samiya and her daughter have been through so much and your support has meant we’ve been able to help them as they move forward after such a difficult time.

Samiya and her daughter fled domestic violence and have been trying to move on as well as possible on a limited income.

Samiya has been struggling with anxiety and depression and her daughter needs extra support after all she has witnessed.

Samiya hasn’t been able to afford to replace their broken washing machine, and we were delighted to be able to help with this essential item which will make life much easier after all they have been through.

"It’s fantastic to see all the ways the community comes together to improve the lives of people in need. From undertaking challenges, to dress-up days, quizzes, raffles and cake-bakes, to donating, setting up a regular gift, volunteering or spreading the word, it all helps to ensure people living in hardship are warm, safe and fed and have the basics in life that we all deserve."
