When Sam’s wife died suddenly earlier this year, his life was thrown into turmoil.
Sam’s wife died suddenly earlier this year.
She was in her twenties and her death came as a huge shock and left Sam unexpectedly caring for the couple’s young son, Oli, as a single parent. The family were already on a tight budget but due to this devastating change in circumstances, Sam has been left unable to work and he has been struggling to make ends meet.
Juggling the family budget was adding to the huge stress and anxiety Sam was facing and life was increasingly difficult as they didn’t have a working fridge freezer and cooker, items the couple had been trying to save for. Family had tried to help out, but living without these items was making daily living and caring for Oli a huge challenge.
Thanks to your support, we’ve now been able to provide both a fridge freezer and a cooker for Sam and Oli. This support is helping them to enjoy hot, healthy and cost-effective meals together and has removed some of the huge worry Sam was experiencing.
Sam is keen to regain employment and is looking to build a positive future with Oli. The items you have helped to provide are playing a small but vital part in this. Thank you.
