Karen needed to help when she moved to an unfurnished property

Karen was referred to us for help by another local charity. She has multiple sclerosis and a number of mental health conditions. Unable to work, she struggles to make ends meet. Recently she has been evicted from her furnished property as her daughter caused issues with her bad behavior when visiting.  Karen has now been allocated a new property but this is unfurnished and she has no funds to pay for the basic items she needs.

Thanks to your support we have been able to provide Karen with a cooker – a vital part in making the property a new home and helping Karen to manage her health and mental wellbeing by being able to cook herself hot, healthy meals.

"It’s fantastic to see all the ways the community comes together to improve the lives of people in need. From undertaking challenges, to dress-up days, quizzes, raffles and cake-bakes, to donating, setting up a regular gift, volunteering or spreading the word, it all helps to ensure people living in hardship are warm, safe and fed and have the basics in life that we all deserve."
